Right now I'm going to talk about page 70 to 72 where its just after Billie Jo's Mum (Polly) dies and her aunt comes and all of the neighbours come to mourn and they talk about what had happened and the only thing Billie Jo hears them say is "Billie Jo threw the pail of kerosene".this kind of brings on the element of guilt within her father and Billie Jo through the whole story .I think that this is a turning point in her life .What do you think?
yes i agree with you dylyn because in the story she doesint want to play moms piano because all she feels is guilt so i agree with you.

Dylyn and Luke,
ReplyDeleteGreat post and discussion about the impact this scene has on the relationship between Billie Jo and her father and how it sets the tone for the rest of the novel.
Well explained. How do you think this will alter or change the decisions Billie Jo or her dad might make?
