wraping up
So I was thinking about what the main idea is. I think that it's sometimes you go searching for something and end up finding another thing or realizing you have had it all along and also in the end of So B. It when Heidi was looking at the box of jujyfruits and noticed that the company name was heide what do you think the significance of that is and what do you think the main idea is?

science post
Hello earthlings! This is Dylyn reporting for the CSA contest and I’m in outer space! Pretty cool right, but there’s a lot of empty space out here too, (Duh! that why they call it space) there’s some stars in the distance and It looks like some planets enough about what I see time to get to Mars! It’s also really cool because I passed the Moon. Since there’s a lot of stars and planets out here I’ll start by talking about them.

So onwards with the report! Stars are created by the joining and collapsing of giant balls of gas. Helium and Hydrogen are formed and compressed by gravity, causing nuclear fission, which causes the star to burn. And a planet is created by centrifugal force pulling rocks and other things to orbit around the newly created star (the star gets so big that it has gravitational pull ) and the heavier things drifted closer to the star and the lighter things like gas were farther away from the star and as everything spins different things collided and stuck together till they formed a core (heavier stuff like iron ) and the lighter things got caught in the now developing gravity and form the outer layers (like rocks and hydrogen and carbon)and that goes for rock planets and gas.
Since I’ve finished talking about how planets are made we need to know what the difference between a star a planet and a satellite!
- A star produces its own heat and light. Also a star is always made up of helium and nitrogen even though some planets are made up of gas not all of them are.
- A planet is made up of rock or mineral elements but the ones farther from the sun in our solar system are made up of gases.A planet relies on light and heat produced by other objects.
- A satellite is made up of rock mostly and only orbits around planets and usually are remnants of old planets that were sucked in by gravitational pull of the planet like a planet satellites don't produce there own light they just reflect it.

Hey you know how I said I passed the moon well I’m, going to talk a little about that giant grey mass. You may think its useless but the moon is really important especially to Earth Because the Moon is the one that creates ocean Tides and how that works is since the moon is really close, the moons weak little gravitational pull has a tiny bit of effect on Earth so the moons gravity pulls the water from the Earths surface and since the Earth is spinning the moons pull has to let go so it creates a big surge of water on Earth. Also another amazing thing the moon does is eclipses (*angel chorus in the background*) lunar and solar. A lunar eclipse is when a moon is directly behind a planet so its overshadowed but that moon still gets a little light, the reason why the moon turns red is because the little light that moon does get its very weak and the weakest colour of light in a spectrum is red. Solar eclipses are not that different from lunar ones, instead a moon is in front of a lager body say a planet and creates a shadow on the larger body behind that moon and that moon has to be at a close rate to have that happen also its shadow doesn’t cover the whole thing just a small portion. One more thing about the moon is its phases it takes around 29 days for the moon to complete its full cycle around the earth with 9 phases but only four are actually important and they are FULL MOON:0 days, QUARTER MOON: seven days FULL MOON: fourteen days QUARTER MOON AGAIN: twenty-one days. The phases of the Moon depend on its position in relation to the Sun and Earth. As the Moon makes its way around the Earth, we see the bright parts of the Moon's surface at different angles.

Well I’m almost there I can actually see Mars in the distance but this is the fun part of this report FEATURES AND FUN FACTS J yay! Some features of the solar system are well all of the planets are geological features of the solar system but there’s also the asteroid belt it’s a long string of asteroids that look like a dividing line for the rock planets and the gas planets but there’s also the Oort cloud and an Oort cloud is basically a field of ice covered asteroids but mostly chunks of ice. I have a really awesome fact scientists think they have found a new planet called Tyche in the Oort cloud and it supposedly is bigger than Jupiter which is really cool! Did you know that if the earth wasn’t on a tilt we wouldn’t have seasons, and the moon was created by another planet that was way smaller that earth called Thea got pulled into Earth’s gravitational pull and crashed into Earth and sort of got stuck orbiting Earth.
So I’m now on Mars and its cool but I wish I had a camera with me ‘cause its so awesome but Its freezing like you would think it would be burning hot because its red but its so cold here but I’ve seen so many amazing things on my journey and this is such a once in a life time experience and I’ve past the moon seen stars up close and seen Mars (oh ya that’s so common to see ) and I’ve talked about so many things. I am so going to win CSA’s contest but it’s time for me to go home they probably miss me (its been like 3 months (ya that’s how long it takes)) so see you back on earth peace out!

Missing part
I was reading page 226 and I came across a section that said "Daddy bought a second mule with Louise's help. Her betrothal gift to him......"and I'm not sure that every one picked up on this but betrothal means engagement so basically Louise is engaged to Billie Jo's father I'm not really sure how Billie Jo feels about this maybe she s thinking positive because she did forgive her father (sort of) so maybe she feels like this is a replacement of her mother what do you think?
cancer?
I have a major question what does the father having those bumps on his face (and they actual are cancer lumps) have to do with anything ?its not like it effects the plot in any way and in the end of the book he doesn't die so I don't see the significance of mentioning it at all and the only time they mention it is in two poems and that's on page 154 and 209. So what do you think and do you think it effects the plotand if you do how?
195-196
Well I think a very interesting page is 195-196 I think I like the last stanza the best (for your information a stanza is an arrangement of a certain number of lines, usually four or more, sometimes having a fixed length, meter, or rhyme scheme, forming a division of a poem. Basically a verse)I personally think its really powerful so here it is "My father's digging his own grave,he calls it a pond, but I know what he's up to.He is rotting away, like his father, ready to leave me behind in the dust.Well,I'm leaving first." I feel that this occurrence was like her last straw with him like he's done a lot of thing like wishes she were a boy and that's been a problem since she was born and then he left that pail of kerosene and that caused some problems then when his wife was dying (which he caused)he left a little girl with burnt hands to take care of her so if I was Billie Jo I would hate him the funny thing is by leaving she forgives him.WELL, what do you think and thoughts or Ideas?
the piano
So I've been thinking about all the different elements of the book and a huge part of it is spent talking about Billie Jo's relationship with piano and how it affects her life and in the beginning of the book her piano is a positive thing in her life and after her mothers death she tries to block it out of her lifeQUOTE:(pg 87) "its hard to believe I once brought money in too, even if it was ust a dime now and then, for playing piano. Now I can't hardly stay in the same room with one. especialy Ma's" (shes scarred by it 'cause it is her mothers piano and you know what happened)but I'm still trying to figure out what Arley Wanderdale and Mad Dog Craddock contributed to the plot besides fueling Billie Jo's wanting to leave and her passion. What do you think Arley Wanderdale and Mad Dog Craddock contribute to the plot?

the thesis statement
I think the thesis statement of this book is sort of live and let live because Billie Jo talks about and i quote(page 128) "but if i played right enough maybe they would see past my hands. Maybe they could feel at ease with me again, and maybe then,I could feel at ease with myself." this quote proves how she takes on the blame for her father and blames her self for what happened. So then we move on through the book even more when she comes to realize that she is not responsible for what happened and that her father is to blame and sort of at the same time she forgives him and herself and is realizing that.(page 206)this quote proves it"As we walk together, side by side ,in the swell of the dust ,I am forgiving him, step by step, for the pail of kerosene. As we walk together, side by side,in the sole-deep dust,I am forgiving myself for all the rest"
So in my opinion Billie Jo is finally accepting that she can't control every thing that happens and that she should mourn over her mother but not take on the weight of her as guilt and bringing that back to my main point (live and let live is the thesis statement)her mother died but she shouldn't carry that around for her whole life (her hands being a silent reminder )and in the end she drops the weight of her guilt which proves my let live part of it (can't carry around guilt forever and if you did it would suck)so what do you think Give me your Ideas and thoughts.
